The money is not in the amway business itself, it's in the hype of the amway business, you've been sold a dream of success, an ideology, a philosophy, a way of life etc...all the same things that are "sold" in cults.

I was reading a book by Josh Tolley, "Quit Your Job or Die" in which he talks about Amway and I have to say, before reading that book I never would have given Amway a second chance. Now, I can understand why it is a real option for people wanting to start a business.

@ skyfish007, In a couple years people in Amway will be financially free, and enjoy life the way god intended. Although you have no boss you will mean nothing on this earth when you die. No one will remember you, But in Amway families you help achieve freedom will remember you and their generation to come.
